❂ This month's jewelry inspiration targets Japan and the delicate damascene jewelry. I posted about this smithing technique earlier, now I focus on the miniaturistic art of the fine Japanese jewelry that turned smiths into goldsmiths. As after the WWII the Japanese were prohibitted to wear weapons, the smiths had to transform their profession into a fine art, so to say, in order to keep their knowledge and profession alive.  I've chosen 4 brooches to take a closer look at and study the designs. ❂ En este mes he volado mi cerebro a Japon para descubrir más sobre su joyeria artistica. Los Japonéses primero usaron el acero damasquinado para forjar sus excelentes espadas de diferentes tipos y formas, todas muy finas y muy fuertes. Después de la segunda guerra mundial se ha prohibido llevar espadas en el estado, así los forjadores quedaron casi sin trabajo. Por suerte, ellos han cambiado el volumen de sus creaciones y transformaron su técnica a través de la joyería, así que el gran conocimiento de sus artes mecánicas no se perdieron. Que más, bonito bonito arte de joyería ha nacido por este cambio en los años 1940-50.

❂ Ebben a hónapban az agyam Japánba utazott inspirálódni. Az eddigi acélos, tudományos kis posztok után nézzük meg közelebbről a már beharangozott brossokat. Nem vagyok ékszerész vagy ötvös, csak úgy leírom, amit csilllogó-szemmel-történő-ránézésre látok ezekben a finom darabokban. A külföldieknek most az elején rövid-összefoglalózok, hogy a Nyugat se maradjon le semmiről. Keleten meg úgy van, szó szerint kenik-vágják a témát, szükségtelen tolmácsolni. Csak annyit mondok: BANZAI! :D ❂ Mein Gehirn flieg in diesem Monat nach Japan, um nach einigen gesammelten Schmuck-Inspirationen tiefer zu forschen. Ich würde gerne über alles auch in Deutsch schreiben, aber ich habe gar keine Ahnung, ob ich irgendwelches deutschssprachige Publikum habe. Meldet euch! :)

This is a super detailled work on a 24-carat fan shaped brooch with a landscape on the mountains and a seaside town. As the sailing boats are headed towards the molos, I'd say this is a miniature landscape of a fishing town at the feet of the mountains, with its fishermen returning from the sea.
Ez egy aprólékosan kidolgozott, 24 karátos munka hasonló hegyi látképpel egy kikötővárosra. Minthogy a bárkák a móló felé néznek, azt mondanám, ez egy miniatűr látkép egy halászfalura a hegyek lábánál, éppen hazatérő halászaival.
