Approximately a month ago I got the opportunity to expose at the Sunday Arts&Crafts Market in the sport's port of Marbella town. Oh, honey, I know!
There we are every sunday. It's been fantastic to meet and start chatting with local Andalucians as well as foreign handcrafters. Like I met Elena from Ronda, which is around here, and her natural and hand-painted cork creations at he booth of Sonrisas de corcho. I also met Lisa from England who's been living here for 2o years already and runs iFundas accessories with her lovely digital prints.
As the market is next port to where we live, just around the corner, with Captain Overseas we decided to build a boat with the purpose to carry the artifacts from Banús to Marbella and back at the end of the day. A merchant ship. But not just any kind: a frigate!

Hace un mes cuando he recibido la oportunidad a exponer mis maravillosas joyas en el Mercadillo Artesanal en el Puerto Deportivo de Marbella. Cada domingo el puerto se viste de blanco, largas mesas se llenan de diferentes productos artesanales.
Todo lo que se ve, y lo que se vende, está hecho por las creativas manos de la gente local andaluza y también por las de otras nacionalidades que viven y crean aquí hace tiempo ya. Allí estamos todos los domingos, y pasamos el día en esa buena onda que me ha encantado desde el principio. Me he encontrado con otras artesanas: con Elena, quien es de Ronda, de un pueblo de los alrededores, y hemos charlado un rato sobre las Sonrisas de corcho, sus creaciones hechas y pintadas a mano. Y Lisa, quien es de Inglaterra y vive en España hace 2o años, tiene una muy linda bisutería iFundas hechas con impresiones digitales.
Cómo el mercadillo está en un puerto, con el Capitán de Ultramar nos hemos decidido a construir un barco con el único motivo de llevar las mercancías a Marbella y volver al fin del día. Un barco mercantil. Pero no es una barca cualquiera: es una fragata!

Kb. egy hónappal ezelőtt huppant az ölembe a lehetőség, hogy a városi kézműves vásárban én is kirakodjak. Marbella sportkikötője a vidám kis vitorlásokkal, motorcsónakokkal minden vasárnap fehér abroszokat ölt teljes hosszában, s megtelnek az itt élő kézművesek portékáival.
Az "itt élő" nem jelenti szükségszerűen, h helyi andalúz, hiszen rengeteg nemzetiségű ember él ebben a mesés öbölben, a városban meg a környező falvakban. Így találkoztam pl. Elenával Rondából, ami egy nagyobbacska köpésre van, természetes, kézzel festett parafa kreációival, mosolyaival, ahogy ő nevezte Sonrisas de corcho oldalán; és Lisával, aki már 2o éve él itt, ennek köszönhetően angol létére is igen jól töri a spanyolt. Nagyon cuki, csajos ékszerkéket csinál digitális printjeiből iFundas néven.
A projektem tárgya a lenyűgöző fregatt, amelyet építek :D Itt a szárazdokkban serény tempóban biza, a bárka megépült.

Ungefähr einem Monat vorher habe ich die Möglichkeit bekommen, meine wunderbare Werke im Handwerker Markt in Marbella auszustellen. Der Sporthafen kleidet sich jeden Sonntag weiß in seiner ganzen Länge, und die Promenade wird mit buntem Angebot von verschiedenen Handwerkerprodukten geladen.
Da sind wir sonntags und die Tage habe ich immer in guter Stimmung verbracht. Hier trifft man lokale andaluze (spanische) Verkäufer so wie Ausländer, die seit längerem hier wohnen und arbeiten. So habe ich mich mit Elena aus Ronda getroffen, was hier in der Nähe liegt, mit ihren natürlichen, handbemalten Kreationen aus Kortsch, Sonrisas de corcho, und Lisa aus England, mit niedlichen Schmuckstücken aus ihren digitalen Drucken, iFundas.
Da der Markt im nächsten Hafen zu unserer Wohnort ist, haben wir uns mit Kapitän Übersee entschieden, einen Boot nur zu diesem Zweck, Handwerke von hier nach Marbella zu und am Ende des Tages zurückzuliefern, zu bauen. Einen Handelsschiff. Aber nicht nur irgendeine. Eine Fregatte!
